MIAMI, FLORIDA: As a part of American Icons campaign, Macy’s has teamed
up with one of the nation’s most innovative veteran empowerment
initiatives, Got Your 6. It’s an amazing organization that helps make
positive contributions to the veteran community every day!

Since 2013, Macy’s has raised more than $5 Million dollars for Got Your 6
and it’s nonprofit partner. This weekend,
I had an opportunity to join with the fundraising by emceeing an All American
Baking demonstration with Taylor the Chef.

Along with sharing amazing baking tips, Macy’s offered customers a special savings
pass, where customers can give $3 at any register across the country and
receive 25 percent off all day. Beyond “Got Your 6 Saturday,” customers can
still support America’s veterans from May 17 through May 25, by giving $3 at
the register to receive a savings pass for 20 percent off. Some exclusions and
restrictions apply. One hundred percent of donations will be given to Got Your
6 and its nonprofit partners!
This year, Macy has introduces a social media initiative to celebrate the
American mosaic of people, places and things that make our country great. Now
through July 4, people can share their #AmericanSelfie photos on Instagram and
Twitter, showcasing what they love most about America. For each photo tagged
with #AmericanSelfie, Macy’s will donate $1 to Got Your 6 to support military
veterans, up to $250,000.
