MIAMI: Social Media Week converges with a lineup of nationally prominent Social Media Influencers who will discuss topics that include communications, marketing and business. Panels will be hosted by media personalities from ABC News, Univision and Fusion. This year, I will speak about "Advocacy Journalism in the Digital Age #BlackLivesMatter."
We will discuss the role of journalists in the age where the newsmaker breaks his own story on Twitter; and will explore whether journalists better fulfill their roles as communicators by using their amplified voice to advocate for change. Panelists also include MiraTv Anchor Rick Sanchez and Photography is Not a Crime (PINAC) Founder Carlos Miller.
Social Media Week Miami is part of a pioneering social media and technology movement that includes a network of conferences held year-round throughout the world. Simultaneous with Miami, Social Media Week conferences will take place in Sao Paulo, London, and Rotterdam in September 2015. More details:
