Teaching Kids About Diversity!

Do you remember your first day of school? My adorable nephew just started kindergarten & he loved meeting his new classmates!

Getting over those first day jitters can be hard! In the book, First Day of School: Do you want to be My Friend we meet a young girl named Star!  In the book, we follow her conversations with her classmates as she learns about cultures around the world.

Weaving diversity into the fabric of our children's everyday lives is important! The book does an amazing job introducing children to racial and cultural diversity.
Never has there been a better time to introduce children to racial and cultural diversity. We are fortunate to live in a country where so many ethnicities are represented, giving families plenty of wonderful opportunities to learn and appreciate how different cultures live without having to leave home to do so.  - See more at: http://www.quickanddirtytips.com/parenting/school-age/10-ways-to-teach-kids-about-diversity#sthash.eXRMWwAM.dpuf
