Constance Jones Host Luncheon with ABC’s Amy Robach

RICHMOND, Va: Local women leaders gathered for the “Women Take the Stage” luncheon, emceed by 8News anchor Constance Jones, at the Carpenter Theater on April 16, 2019. 
The luncheon was sponsored by the Richmond Performing Arts Alliance, an organization dedicated to providing “diverse local and world-class performing arts, transformative arts education experiences for students of all ages, and inspirational venues — all to strengthen the cultural and economic vitality of the Greater Richmond region.”

ABC News anchor Amy Robach was the keynote speaker for the event which focused on women empowerment.  During her keynote speech, Robach talked about her battle with breast cancer and how it led to a positive change in her life.

“What can I do to enjoy my day today? Because this is it, right now, this is what I have,” Robach said. “So what can I do? And I actually find, when I’m feeling sad, you know what I do? I give. If I give something to someone else, I feel better.” During her keynote speech, Robach talked about her battle with breast cancer and how it led to a positive change in her life. 


“What can I do to enjoy my day today? Because this is it, right now, this is what I have,” Robach said. “So what can I do? And I actually find, when I’m feeling sad, you know what I do? I give. If I give something to someone else, I feel better.”

Jones moderated the panel which included Kristen Cavallo, CEO of The Martin Agency, Shannon Siriano Greenwood, Co-Founder of Rebelle Con and Dr. Pamela J. Royal, owner and President of Royal Dermatology.  Money raised at the luncheon will go toward performing arts and arts education in the Richmond area.
